Inspiration LA Vol. 3

  • Travel

Brief Summary

Last weekend we ventured out toward Los Angeles to partake in a truly one of a kind, new and enlightening experience at the 3rd Annual Inspiration LA Vintage Fashion Gathering. Offering up a unique look into upcoming brands and expert craftsmanship, but also more interestingly a look into cultures much different than our own. Featuring some local shops and many others from around the world, the creative focus was similar in some ways, but different in many. From leather-making, to vintage refurbishing, cultural PSAs, to abstract sketch artists. There was a clear relationship with one’s craft. It was a pleasure to have been in that sort of atmosphere and even more so to bump into some familiar inspirational figures, one of which being Ouigi Theodore of The Brooklyn Circus. The experience yielded more than just visuals, it was a chance to explore vintage history in different genres. At the end we were granted more than just information, we left with inspiration.

Words cannot express how much I enjoy such venues. Everything from the location, individuals, goods, and creative atmosphere is about as close to nirvana as I can imagine. I will have to make every effort to attend next year.

It is not hard to tell I am envious, but I’m incredibly pleased the three of you were able to attend such a spectacle and share it with the rest of us. Great written excerpt, fantastic cinematography and narration. It’s short films like these that get my creative blood flowing.

I was eagerly awaiting the next post, and it was certainly worth the wait, and then some. Congratulations gents, keep up the great work!
